Summary of my Article
The article Single-Sex versus Coeducation Schooling compares the advantages of attending both single-sex schools and coeducational schools. The writer speaks about many different studies that have been done to compare single-sex and coeducational schooling. According to the article, studies show positive effects for single-sex schools on all-subject achievement test and this applies for both males and females. Also the article states that students in single-sex schools are more interested in taking challenging classes than students in coeducational schools. Another study found that single sex schools are more interested in grades and leadership and less interested in money and looks. Out of all the studies shown in this article, a majority found that single-sex schools are more beneficial than coeducational schools.

Hmmm???Good topic and this could go either way for me. Yes it's great that same sex schools show higher test scores and the students focus more on their education, but on the flip side how do those males or females get experience interacting and learning about those that they will eventually have to interact with in the work force?
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this topic on a personal level. I attended both types of schools. This should be a pretty interesting topic to research.
